Booth at the WFFest

I know it's a lousy snap, but here is the finished bugeye in it's frame in the Waterfowl Festival. I sold it today so I am thrilled. I made all the frames... phew 18 all together...

Matthew, a beautiful frame is the icing on the cake - your paintings look great!

Just wondering: what advantages are there to framing your own work?

matthew...the vintage cars!? if you sell them both, you need to paint me a new one, and once i get that high paying job I'll purchase it....soooo, maybe you have some time! :)

Hi Peter, Glad you like the frame. I think you really have to want to build frames, otherwise it's one enormous pain in the butt.
We made 18 frames for the show.Several were really large. When I finished I said "never again" but I have to admit they looked great. On the down side we lost a week's worth of painting before the show. However you can paint any size, and style, It's so much fun choosing the corners and finish. I am also disorganized, and I find it hard to pre-order custom frames. This way I can be rather last minute, and our frames stand out. It's unfortunate when half the art in the show have the same dreary old frames.
