Winter Fox oil 15'' x 24''

Here's the final painting. I just finished it and spent the morning enjoying some juicy thick brushwork on the snow. Lots of cutting in around the fox and foliage. and making sure all the whiskers and fluffy edges are in place. I hope you like it!!

Absolutely beautiful as always. The fox's fur looks such a deep rich colour and so real. It is great to see how you worked up the painting in these stages - and the artists who meet here once a week will also find this very informative. Interesting to hear your preferences for snow colour (I would be lost here, as I usually get asked to paint deserts.) Thank you for taking the time out from painting to take the photographs. BTW, when this image was posted it was my birthday and this was a gift :) Lesley Ann.

Dear Leslie Anne,
Thank you so much for your comments. I'm glad you asked me to take the "in progress" photos. I really enjoyed the experience. It's hard for me to edit my comments, I could go on and on about how I paint.
Anyway Happy Birthday!!
