"Uprising in the Marsh" oil 51 x 45''

I have just finished this painting . It's rather large, In fact way too big to fit in y car....thank goodness for neighbors with trailers!! It was quite a challenge. One of my students kept telling me to go to Assateague to see the birds and wild ponies. What an Incredible place. I came across a large flock of Egrets and gulls which burst out of the Salt marsh as I approached. I just had to paint them. What she didn't tell me about were the legions of mosquitos, horse flies and sheep flies which made it Impossible to hang about on the marsh. I am delighted that this painting just won the the "Artists choice award" at this year's Waterfowl Festival in Easton MD.

Yes, we were assaulted by the mosquitos when we went to Assateague.

Thank you so much for all for positive comments. this past weekend was the Waterfowl Fest. It was my centerpiece and well received. The trouble is that It is too large to fit in my car so I have to borrow my neighbor's trailer to bring it home from the show.

an absolutely stunning group of masterworks yet again.nothing short of inspirational as ever, the larger piece must have so much impact 'in the flesh' and how lucky to have such a good neighbour!
