Well, I've finally taken the plunge and got a blog of my own. Poor Julia has been so patient, but I know that I have driven her crazy with my lack of computer skills. So here goes... Welcome to the inner bowels of my chaotic studio!! Here's a few new paintings...

CONGRATULATIONS Matt!! It is a stunning painting.
Congratulations Matthew! Well deserved! I love this piece. This is the one I was telling you I sent my husband. I'm in awe at the water in this.
Phew ... My head is getting very Big!!! thanks johnny and kelly.
Matthew, that doesn't surprise me. That painting is very lovely. Congratulations!
Matthew, I just stumbled across your blog, although I have admired your work for years. It surprises me to learn that you make your own frames as well. I am also A wildlife artist, living in Alaska. If I am lucky, I can get my nephew to make a frame for me, although his frames are not in your league.
Nice one Matt, well done and well deserved, Paul
Wonderful work and great to know that the public recognize it! Your water painting is something for other artists to aim for. :) Lesley
congratulations on the award! superb painting!
Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate all the support! My head is so big I will have to widen my studio door!
It's a beautiful piece and it's a wonderful recognition. Good to see you in Easton and I loved those two large egret/heron paired works and glad to read that you sold the 'bugeye'. Seeing it in person was a treat!
Terry I had no Idea you made it over to the Tidewater. I loved your booth. Really lovely drawings. I hope you had a great show,
Matt
Matthew, it's a great painting and the award is well deserved. I often think the visitors are the best judges!
