Well, I've finally taken the plunge and got a blog of my own. Poor Julia has been so patient, but I know that I have driven her crazy with my lack of computer skills.
So here goes... Welcome to the inner bowels of my chaotic studio!! Here's a few new paintings...

Snowy Patrol (Snowy Egret) 9 x 12 oil SOLD
I needed A mini to take out to the annual Susan Kathleen Black foundation workshop in Dubois WY. I will be teaching oil painting. I know it isn't the first Egret I have painted, but I wanted to paint typical Hillier piece.
Wow, going places and doing things...these beach scenes with their ambling birds really are a delight and you paint water and waves so well! I'm not sure if you remember but I have been using watercolor forever. Was it hard for you to transition from acrylic to oils? What led to your decision? And, I wish I could have a lesson in oils with you and Julia. You both constantly wow me.
